What is the Custom Dictionary and How To Use It
On the lower-left corner of the screen, we have the “Custom Dictionary” button. When users click it, they will be directed to this page. The goal of the custom dictionary is to help the software transcribe chosen words more accurately. For example, you are going to subtitle a video that has medical terminology in it. Users can create a custom dictionary with medical terminology in it to help the software transcribe the terms accurately.

On the right side of the screen, we can see how we can create custom dictionaries. The “+” button above creates a custom dictionary, you can create multiple custom dictionaries, then we type the name of the custom dictionary under the tab “Dictionary Name”.
Then, on the image above, you can type the words you deem significant where the cursor is. Type as many words as you want to help the software transcribe those words more accurately, then assign importance to each of them. The importance number indicated how often a word comes up and how important it is to transcribe that word each time the software detects it.

How we practically use the custom dictionaries is when we are uploading the files. As you can see on the image above, there is a “Use custom dictionary” button and when you press it, you can choose from the dictionaries you have created, which will then be implemented in the transcription process. For any other questions, feel free to contact us through the “?” button on the lower right corner of the screen, which is our help button.
